MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Health announced that July is the annual Nutrition Month. This year, the agency released the official hashtag #2020NutMonth.
Through its site, DOH announced that the theme for the 46th Nutrition Month is, “Batang Pinoy, SANA TALL… Iwas Stunting… SANA ALL!”
They added, “Iwas all din sa COVID-19.”
The said program is an awareness campaign that the health department organizes annually.
Projects under this campaign are done through different localities. The local government and schools are the ones delivering the services to families.
In its launch, the agency also started a text blast. It said, “DOH: 2020 Nutrition Month: Tiyakin ang tamang paglaki ng inyong anak sa kanyang First 1000 Days. I-like ang FB: First 1000 Days PH at NNCOfficial: #2020NutMonth.”
The said hashtag trended on Twitter shortly after people noticed the abbreviation of “nutrition” to “nut”.
A netizen quipped, “DOH officially calling July as Jakol Month. 31 Day Jakol Challenge. #2020NutMonth.”
Indeed, the green-minded fellows have had their minds go crazy.
One said, “Well #2020NutMonth is applicable at home. So timely most especially this time of pandemic, we need to strengthen our health and give importance to it. (Parang anlayo sa theme).”
